About Us

As Chief Executive Officer, Steve is responsible for all aspects of Sunjoint Development, including Land Acquisition, Entitlement, and Land Development. Steve also serves as CEO of CBC Home, LLC, a privately held builder in Southern California. He manages all aspects of CBC Home, including Construction, Sales, Product, Procurement, Customer Experience, Strategic Positioning, and Growth. Previously served as Executive Vice President and oversaw all construction operations and sales.

Prior to joining Sunjoint Development, Steve served as Director of Construction Operations for the venture-backed, technology-enabled homebuilder, Homebound Technologies. He successfully established and expanded a new market in Southern California and launched two products for disaster rebuilds and new construction. Prior to Homebound, he served as the Lead Superintendent for a private multifamily builder, Fassberg Construction, in Southern California. Prior to Fassberg, Steve spent 15 years at KB Home, a public homebuilder. Steve joined as an Assistant Superintendent and rose to Regional Construction Manager for the LA/Ventura Region. Prior to KB Home, he held several additional positions in the construction operations industry.

As Vice President of Development, Ryan is responsible for development projects consisting of master-planned single & multi-family residences, mixed-use podium and wrap condos, and build-to-rent attached and detached products. His real estate experience includes land acquisition, forward planning project development, and both horizontal and vertical construction operations. He has a track record of building companies from the start-up stage into profitable, sustainable businesses.

Prior to joining Sunjoint Development, Ryan served as Senior Project Manager for the venture-backed, technology-enabled homebuilder, Homebound Technologies. He helped lead the Southern California market expansion by identifying, underwriting, and then managing projects from due diligence through construction. Prior to Homebound, he was a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure and Capital Projects group at Deloitte. While there, he managed a corporate headquarters development project for a Fortune 500 technology and media company. He focused on all aspects of the construction and development project while helping to establish the overall PMO team. Ryan began his career as an engineer for Brighton Engineering, serving the Anheuser-Busch Capital Expenditures team.

Andrew Rodriguez serves as Chief of Staff for Sunjoint Development and affiliated companies. In this role, he leads leasing for Sunjoint’s commercial properties and supports the executive team with real estate entitlements. A native of Los Angeles County, Andrew’s career spans both the private and public sectors. His public sector experience includes working at the United States Department of Commerce in Washington, DC; serving on economic development teams for several business improvement districts in the City of Los Angeles; and serving as a City Councilmember and Mayor of Walnut, California. Andrew is a graduate of Rutgers University- New Brunswick and earned a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.
